I was really tired of replacing the bulbs in my recessed landscape lights due to water leaks and moisture getting in the fixture from the irrigation. So I decided to buy this light because it is DESIGNED to be underwater. And then I found out that a lot of people buy this fixture for the same reason. So far so good. I also like the high wattage bulbs that came with the fixture - strong enough to light up a pond - but they really light up my yard at night!
